This covers all current Local National employees of the U.S. Forces in Germany, including U.S. Air Force and AAFES-Europe within Germany.

• Directs a workforce of approximately three to ten subordinate non-supervisors and possibly work leaders within the Base Support Battalion.
• Plans work on a daily or weekly basis based on customer or higher-level work orders, ensuring adequate tools, equipment, facilities, and materials are available.
• Assigns tasks to subordinates, provides technical guidance on difficult tasks, and monitors ongoing work to ensure timelines and customary methods are met.
• Checks completed work for quality and compliance with trade practices, keeping higher-level supervisors informed of high-visibility problems or delays.
• Prepares performance plans and ratings, counsels employees on performance, explains new techniques, and recommends promotions, training, or disciplinary action.
• Handles initial complaints, approves short periods of leave, maintains work reports and records, and assures that safety and housekeeping practices are observed.

A completed apprenticeship and a Master degree (Meisterbrief). Internal applicants can substitute the Master degree with a completed apprenticeship and at least 5 years of experience at the journeyman level at the A-6 or A-7 in the appropriate trade.

• Applicants must be in possession of a German driver's license class B.
• Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a military driver's license.
• Office automation skills are required.

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL:

Englischlevel B1 und Deutschlevel B2 erforderlich. / English Language Proficiency level B1 AND German Language Proficiency level B2 required.
